
Paul Frase was a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 years, starting in 1988. His roster included the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars. During his NFL career, he was awarded the Ed Block Courage Award twice. He is the only player to have received the award two times in the 28-year history. The Ed Block Courage Award represents Paul’s undying inspiration, sportsmanship, courage and commitment. Paul and his wife Alison have dedicated the past 15 years of their lives to defying odds, informing countless people worldwide of the devastating reality of Myotubular Myopathy, through the Joshua Frase Foundation. Paul continues to spread the word about ongoing research for treatments for MTM and other neuro-muscular diseases. He shares information relating to family resources and support, and the challenges he’s faced in his own life and NFL career. Together with his wife Alison, he is diligently committed to finding resources to help fund research efforts at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, Children’s Hospital Boston, and Genethon. Paul is also an agent with New York Life, specializing in helping his clients protect assets, and set a plan for a healthy financial future.
Paul and Alison have a wonderful daughter named Isabella.
